Hello my darlings,
This is me, Lo: the owner, artist, writer, & main brain behind Becoming Bewitched. It has been quite the journey over the last 13 years. But the last year has been the most incredible year of my entire career. Let me give you a brief summary of my career as an aesthetician over the last decade and then we’ll talk transformation.
I graduated from Glen Dow Beauty Academy in 2012. Once I had my license I began contracting with Elite Salon & Spa in Spokane, WA where I worked and managed the esthetician program for 6 years, simultaneously working at The BrickHouse Massage & Coffee on the weekends, doing aesthetics 7 days a week!
When I moved to Boise, ID in 2019, I switched my contract to the Boise location of Elite Salons, known as The Studio: An Elite Salon. I worked for the owner of these salons for 10 whole years, running and growing the esthetician program up until the time I decided to spread my wings and open my own practice in April 2022.
I opened my Etsy shop originally “Cottage Core Naturals” in 2024 with a full range of all things – well – cottage core! From witchy gifts like my moon water decanters, to nature aesthetic pieces like my beautifully designed floral wreaths, and even natural skin care products like my body scrubs, bath oils, and SO MUCH MORE! Now here we are in 2026! My little family relocated to Coeur D’Alene, Idaho shortly after the birth of my daughter Betsie so we could be closer to our families. We remain happily rooted in Idaho.
Becoming a mother was the beginning of my transformation. Getting pregnant with my son caused me to question everything about my business model. I am so blessed that my Etsy business has taken off, allowing me to release my creative nature in a way I have never experienced before.
After months of struggling to balance it all, I realized my purpose wasn’t in esthetics any longer. What lights up my soul is bringing magic into the world and sharing it with others. So what once was Bewitched Skin and Soul transformed into Becoming Bewitched, a business dedicated to helping others create an enchanting life.
I will be releasing a blog every Tuesday, decidedly calling it My Grimoire. Here I will share my tips for creating a life with a little more magic sprinkled with holistic beauty and seasonal living advice. My shop will be filled with cottage core decor, whimsigoth gifts, and ritual items.
